Uster, CH / The task of the project is the refurbishment and expansion of the District Complex in the city of Uster. The District Complex area forms a significant component in the urban development area south of the Uster train station. Centrally located within the city's structure, it is embedded in a diverse environment with good transport links, shopping facilities, restaurants, and public amenities. Its location and presence in the urban space give the area an important role as a mediating point between institutions and public life. The functions are mainly administrative (police department, courthouse, interrogation rooms, offices) in the upper floors and public (café, information desk) on the ground floor looking at the main plaza. The designed facades present materials and configurations that show continuity with the existing buildings in the area.
